Re: (TV) Well, how about that?



I'm ashamed to admit I don't know The Slider, but I think Ziggy Stardust
is Bowie's best album by miles. Hunky Dory has a lot of great songs on
it, but they don't hang together in a coherent way -- you've got
orchestral epics like Life on Mars next to novelty songs like Song For
Bob Dylan, and then there's the awful 'Fill Your Heart', ugh. Whereas I
find ZS to be a really satisfying album as a whole, and 'Lady Stardust'
is probably my fave Bowie song ever. Not keen on TMWSTW at all, the
production is horrible and the playing sounds limp, it's as if the band
were trying to ROCK and failing utterly. I think Low, another critical
fave, is also over-rated -- badly produced and self-indulgent... Quite
liked the first Tin Machine album though.
