i'm not from boston, but my old band, the crow flies, opened for gut bank at 
the electric banana in pittsburgh in or about 1987. if i'm correct they had 
a lp out on homstead at the time. (i used to have it but sold it off in the 
great punk rock record sale about 3 years ago.) anyways, i don't remember 
much about them except they encored w/zep's "whole lotta love" & they were 
real nice people.
television content: it was reported on the bable list that tom attended the 
third nite of patti smith's three night stand at the village underground 
earlier this week.
