wow. this article has that defensive david lee roth "rock- critics-only- 
like-elvis- costello- because- they- look- like-  him" tone to  it.
seriously, tho heroin use is stupid. neither ramone or ratt are to be 
admired in my book.
but their artistic contributions are a different story.
in 1977 the ramones made me want to play guitar.
ratt never did.
i don't care about how many records you sold or how often you were played on 
empty tv.
"it ain't the meat it's the motion..." so the old saying goes.
sounds  like sour grapes to me.
we'll see who's remembered in another 20 years.
