Slint to Auction Gear on eBay

Slint's one-month reunion in March sent many hearts
aflutter, especially those belonging to fans who hoped
for a permanent reformation and perhaps some new
material from the Louisville, Kentucky band. But,
sadly, the band have made it clear that the tour was
not only a reunion, but also a farewell. Still have
hope of another reunion? Well abandon it now, as Slint
are auctioning off select pieces of musical equipment
from their tour on eBay, an even bigger indication
that they will never get back together.

In fact, even the eBay description that accompanies
each item states, "The group has now disbanded
permanently as intended." It's unfortunate for a band
whose 1991 album Spiderland earned them spot number 12
on Pitchfork's Top 100 Albums of the 90s (in eBay
terms, that's A+++++++ Highly Recommended!!! Great
Seller!!!).

You can bid with confidence, by the way, as the seller
of Slint's items maintains a pristine 100% positive
feedback rating. Items up for auction include guitars
belonging to Brian McMahan and David Pajo, a Fender
Hot Rod DeVille 410 Guitar Amplifier, and for serious
fans only, a custom ATA Tech Workbox belonging to
Slint's guitar tech.
