(TV) OT: Simulate / Dolls in Boston

I am assuming it would be too much to ask them to 
have searched for a guitarist, who could 'simulate' 
Thunders' guitar licks (e.g., like on "Vietnamese Baby").

I saw the original group twice in Boston eons ago.
One of those times they played in an old Armory that 
UMASS/Boston had taken over.  

We were sitting on its carpeted floor about 10 feet from 
stage-center, and my then girlfriend freakin' feel asleep 
after two Dolls songs (pretty hard to do).
