actually, there is a banjo on the new album! it
sounds great!
aside from newsom, the new folk revival (banhart et
al) has passed me by. but there is often just one
keeper in any movement (think of how jeff mangum stood
out amongst the e6 collective). she's it. i think
what she is doing is singular and quite bold.
