deb, what article are you quoting from? i've been enjoying it.
i have a lot of rock magazines from the 70s and have thought about scanning
all the TV-related stuff and making it available...but have never had the
time. i seem to remember a story in rock scene or hit parader that featured
TV in LA, with a photo of tom lounging by the pool...i may be imagining that
("he looked like...a thousand screaming bluebirds"). i finally, after a long
time collecting, have all however-many issues of punk that were printed (the
elusive blondie and DOA covers were the hardest to come by).
hasn't there been discussion before about LJJ having to do with tom's twin
brother, who died of an overdose? am i just imagining that too?
and leo, don't you have the lost chapter from the book "sonic transmission"
that deals with the song? the publisher actually left out the entire chapter
when the book was pressed? that book needed a second look from an editor...
