As Maurice said the interviewer may have been mixing-up his Richards.

Also, the idea here -- that the things Verlaine did at age 22 with a friend (talked about poets) are the same things he does at age 62 with a friend -- seems silly.

Wow. What a train wreck! Those would have to be some of the stupidest,
ill-informed questions I ever read any music "journalist " pose to any
artist let alone Tom Verlaine. "what movies do you watch together" -
paraphrase. What a joke. This person knew nothing about Television or TV.
