Thanks for passing those questions on!  It was interesting to get a 
little glimpse into the band, guests, and producers.  Good job.

I've been quiet because, well, I've been working on a huge project 
for demo this week.  Imagine for a moment a team of three people 
programming the entire mechanism for customizable online 
services...in under a month.  Pardon my venting.  I also owe people 
comments on the mpegs up on the tribute site, and haven't had a 
chance to get it together.

Maybe it's time for another "what are you listening to" thread.  I've 
been getting through the work crunch with mpegs of live Naked City 
(John Zorn, Bill Frisell, Fred Frith, Wayne Horvitz, Joey Baron, and 
Yamataka Eye on screams)--particularly a moving cover of the theme 
from _Rosemary's Baby_ (believe it or not) and a fantastic 
over-the-top version of "NY Flat Top Box."  And I'll say that while I 
haven't connected with Frisell's playing in the past, I'm totally 
grooving on his stuff with Zorn, particularly the live NC.  He's a 
hell of a lot more versatile than I'd thought.

I've also been digging mid-period Karate 
(http://www.southern.com/southern/band/KARAT/disc.html)--check out 
the mp2s from _Karate_ and _In Place of Real Insight_.  (The most 
recent, from _The Bed Is in the Ocean_, is a little too faux-jazzy 
for my taste.) And Geoff Farina's earlier solo stuff too.
