Apparently, it was sold to the next-highest bidder, perhaps at a new price
(since "Mr. Brown"'s bids were fictious). But I doubt it went for anywhere near
$31k - check out Mr. Brown's feedback these days:

Only two bidders went significantly over $2k in their bids, so I'm assuming one
of them got the guitar, and that they paid nowhere near $31k, but who knows.
