RE: (TV) worst episode ever...completely off topic

Jay,

My symphathies---I have a long history of back problems, but managed to come out of it all in good shape (except my running and vigorously pogoing to rock music careers have been somewhat curtailed). My advice: there is light at the end of the tunnel, and be sure to seek a second opinion if your doctor mentions surgery as your only option. I know lots of people who had herniated discs and almost all got cured without surgery.
