On my vinyl 4 lp set's liner notes of Nick Drake it talks about how Drake's producer,a  Mr. Boyd(?) once ran into Tom Verlaine, and Verlaine knowing who he was said to him something like, "...Nick Drake, the best."

No, not Sandy, must be Nick Drake or that guy who went for a swim in
