I've just come back from visiting my brother. Looking in some old boxes I
came across an old tape on which he had written 'Good John Peel Show'. As
soon as I saw it I thought I recognized it. It was a complete show and the
very first time that JP played anything from MM.........and the very first
time I got to here Television. We just listened to it again. This show must
have been early 1977. I could almost remember every word JP said about
Television on that show which shows how much impact the songs had on me. I
remember I kept playing the tape over and over at the time as it was several
weeks before the album came out over here. How the tape survived this long
I've no idea  but it certainly brought back some memories. He played
Elevation, Prove It and Friction one after another. A piece of history I
reckon. Almost certainly the first time MM tracks were played on UK radio.
