(TV) Humbled

I put my foot in my mouth; I stand corrected. I apologize profusely. I meant the "average" person , the "masses", "the tyranny of the majority" or "Some" people in the hinterlands. I did not intend it to be a geographic slur on the open-mindedness of the people who live in open spaces, mid-westerners, the boondocks , or those living in suburban sprawl. I'm sure there awere plenty of people in the NYC and other cognoscenti who had trouble with or hated Television's TV's music.

PS: Although you know if you were to perform a statitical correlation between taste and .......(just kidding!)

I don't think it was intentional---but I've always liked the idea that you
can pronounce Television as "Tell a vision"; and that is certainly what the
band and Tom do. When I have introduced new acquaintances to the music of
the band---I usually stress the Tell a vision "idea/concept"; ,
unfortunately if I don't mention this I've found from experience that a lot
of people I meet think the name Television's pretty lame.

Also, as someone mentioned earlier, the fact that
Television=TV=Tom's initials is cool but it may have been just chance that
this occurred. I've often wondered if name had anything to do with
Television's lack of commercial success----my theory is that it was not a
major factor but didn't help their cause amongst those in the U.S.
hinterlands where sophistication or a sense of irony is a rare commodity.

Leo---who is getting really psyched for TV's 8 pm show
tonight but hope's weather freezing rain & sleet doesn't cancel TV's flight
to Boston./c

Except for Tom. :) I know when I first met him he didn't have a tv and would
come to Fred's house to
watch his.
