Re: (TV) old but new

It is the best song written.
Today I got The Who Sell Out in mono on track Records (UK) in the mail. It
is mint! I cannot believe how great it is as I listen. The guitar tracks are
totally different. Another proof that mono was infinitely superior to the
reprocessed stereo that became commonly available. Yes, I am Luddite, but it
is also better than the stereo remastered CD's. By far. Anyone who is
interested should listen to the two versions of this album! Also, I recently
got the reissued mono version of "Piper At The Gates Of dawn" and it just
blows the stereo version away. What I had always liked as a decent
psychedelic album I now see is a masterpiece. Why don't the record companies
(and the musicians) do the fans a favor and release the mono masters? It's
as if the fans don't matter. After watching the grammy's the other night
that somehow doesn't surprise me.
