Re: (TV) fave rock biographies/books

Essential reading for all Television/Hell/Patti Smith/Pere Ubu/Talking
Heads/Ramones/NY Dolls/VU fans: Clinton Heylin's FROM THE VELVETS TO THE
VOIDOIDS. A terrific book. Also includes a good discography (if a bit outdated
now, since the book is from 1993). Really, really, really essential for
Television fans.

I thought ENGLAND'S DREAMING was ok - I've talked about it on the list before -
but the discography is excellent, and was crucial in the development of my
current musical tastes.

MYSTERY TRAIN is quite good too, even if at times, you find yourself wondering
what Greil is going on about... :^)
