(TV) Paintbox

Never heard of this band, but the review has interesting references:
 PAINTBOX: Fuselage Prox ***

Strip away the layers -- the generic-sounding
alterna-moniker, the general air of inoffensive radio-friendliness --
and there's some impressive duelling geetar action going on here.
Paintbox are firmly rooted in the meat 'n' potatoes melodicism of
Can-rock reliables like the Odds, which is at odds with a far more
intriguing, exploratory impulse that posits them as a sort of Luna-lite.
The closing, untitled instrumental jam ably shows off their free-form
finesse, but Paintbox can also warp a pop hook to great effect: the
standout "Alien in the Agency" beams in like a less-fuzzy Television,
relocating Tom
Verlaine's East Village wandering poet to a roadside Tim Horton's
outside of Cornwall.
Fuselage makes for decent driving music as is, but one hopes Paintbox
continue to veer
off the safe route to more far-out places
