it's a haircut where the hair is short on top and on
the sides, and long in the back.  bowie had one circa
ziggy stardust, but they are now the follicle province
of daggy country types like billy ray cyrus.  

thankfully, none of the members of television have
ever sported a mullet -- they're too stylish for that
crap.
