Re: (TV) white stripes

It's really catchy. Some songs are just voice/drums and it leaves ya hummin'. Like Ray said, it's nothing we've never heard before, but it gives a breath of fresh air to the whole shebang.

I've listened to it about six times since I bought it on Friday and I'm still really liking it. Take a listen to it if ya fancy.

I thank Mojo for referring this one.

the Strokes are hype writ large for the moment but they might well still
blossom into something special in the future - here's hoping-personally i
think the White
Stripes are the _real_ deal-it's certainly nothing you haven't heard before
but all the more special maybe cos they've succeeded so wonderfully in
fashioning something so charming and timeless from the standard guitar, voice
and drums setup -it's primitive r&r/blues with catchy, memorable
lyrics/melodies/songs- one track i heard reminded me of vintage kinks with
jimmy page stylings on guitar but still with enough attitude of their own to
make it completely contemporary sounding....and if that's not a winning
combination i dunno what is
