Let me second that sentiment. For those of us outside NYC, it seems like ... 
well, it's just unreal. Just unimaginable.

When the earthquake hit SF back in the 80's, I emailed a friend who worked in 
San Jose and had him get in touch with my relatives in the Bay Area for me. 
Keep that in mind ... if you're trying to get a message in or out of NYC and 
you can't get through by phone, I'm sure anyone on the list would be happy to 
relay a message if they can.
