Yr. right about Roger's ears being the reason. We used to record
for the same label (Ace of Hearts) in the mid/late 70's.

I was under the impression that Roger's tinnitus was the main cause,
and why the Birdsongs and post-Birdsongs ensembles were a lot
quieter.   Martin, OTOH, has been pretty remote since he dropped out
of Birdsongs and split to Hawaii.
