... I just rediscovered my copy of Philip Rambow -Shooting Gallery on EMI 1979. Can anyone tell me anything about it or >if he is still recording?
That's the only Rambow I have as well, and now I'll have to go re-discover it, too. I remember not being impressed with it, and can't remember a note of it now, but it's been 20 years since I last heard it.
I bought it because Brian Eno was a big fan, and I read somewhere that this group of musicians played live with him as The Winkies. Eno's semi-legit album "Dali's Car" and the boot Music For Fans, Volume Two are where the cuts are. I'll verify this with the Brian Eno Electronic Portfolio (BEEP) and get back to you if you wish.
