At least Tom tried to trade a CD for a carton of
Export A's (fondly referred to as Green Death here in
Canadaland) but he didn't have much luck as in 92  the
Television CD retailed for around $20.00 CDN and a
carton of green death went for $35.00 to $50.00
depending on which province they were purchased in. 
Mostly Canadians just gave Verlaine half a carton,
unless he threw in a t-shirt with the cd.  Why I
remember telling Tom during his tour stop in Moosejaw
Saskatchewan that I wanted the cd, shirt and an
autograph plus a boot of the concert in exchange for
the Export A's.  Then that no good Jimmy Rip
intervened and told Tom that he would call Mick, who
would talk to Keith about scoring Tom some Export A's
so I was SOL on the deal, true story!
