One of the most succinct and powerful lines in any rock song. It
does seem though that someone has to die in order for Neil to
write a good song.

If that's true (about Neil and "Ohio"), that would surprise me.
Neil's done
it at a number of his solo shows as well. I always thought he was
proud of it.

And for the latter, no question at all. I'm guessing that for
some, writing
is the most direct way of dealing with the strong emotions.
