    Thanks very much for your replies.  I'd always suspected it had a lot to
do with the press and John Peel (was he related to Emma?) along with the
fantastic good taste always displayed by the British (we'll just pretend
S-Club 7 never happened).  From some of the comments, I gather British radio
has now devolved into the product delivery system it is here in the states.
Anyway, you did deliver a lot of insight; maybe it would've happened in the
US if we'd all spent more time down mine.
