I'm not a big authority on The Band , and tell me if I'm wrong , but I was
always told that about 90% of The Last Waltz had to be over-dubbed because
of various cocaine habits and because the original performances were so bad
.
I must say that the exceptions generally cited are Van and Muddy Waters .
