Re: (TV) Radio Birdman

Hi all

Went to see Radio Birdman in Sydney last night (last show of their all too
brief tour). It was absolutely fabulous. The band came on stage with Last
Days of May (Blue Oyster Cult) playing over the PA. They then delivered a
blistering almost 2 hour set that included most of their songs you would
expect (ie almost all of Radios Appear and a lot of Living Eyes) as well as
covers of Transmanicon MC (Blue Oyster Cult), Down on the Street, Waiting for
the Man, Buried and Dead (Master's Apprentices - 60's oz classic) as well as
their usual fantastic version of You Gonna Miss Me. There were rumours of a
brief US tour as well. If they do end up playing any dates anywhere near to
you, you will not be disappointed.

Yeah Hup

I also fully agree with Chris about the two recent compilations of late 70's
Oz singles. I bought most of this stuff on vinyl way back when but it is
great to see this stuff getting a release to a wider deserved audience as
this is fantastic stuff. If you can source these in the US (or wherever)
they are certainly worthwhile.

Regards

Alan
