Re: (TV) Things been relatively slow on list / Leo's top 10 for R.S. Poll

well, top ten for today is

stooges - funhouse
television - marquee moon
ramones - leave home
heartbreakers - LAMF
richard hell & the voidoids - blank generation
the replacements - let it be
jesus & mary chain - stoned & dethroned
birdland - birdland (amazing underrated band, used to do 'See No Evil' live)
buffalo tom - let me come over
vic godard - the end of the surrey people

although I'd change my mind if asked again tomorrow - maybe I'll choose tim over let it be or maybe husker du over vic godard, but these ones stand up because they have no poor tracks on the albums (admittedly you have to be in the mood to enjoy the last two tracks on funhouse), I'm a big clash fan and I maybe love london calling more than birdland, but the title track is poor and the cover of brand new caddilac is unnecesary etc, so this is it

until I change my mind

Things have been a little slow on MM List lately,
so I'll do something I try not to encourage (lists).

When I filled out my top 10 all-time albums (yes, I
grant you, it's an impossible and silly exerecise)
for a Rolling Stone Magazine web poll 2 weeks ago
these were my choices:

1) Tom Verlaine, Tom Verlaine 1979
2) Tom Verlaine, Dreamtime 1981
3) Television, Marquee Moon 1977
4) David Bowie, Low 1977 (Or Stage [Live] 1978)
5) The Velvet Underground, "The Velvet Underground Live 1969" 1974 (Or Loaded 1970)
6) Miles Davis, Kind of Blue 1959
7) (Mississippi) Fred McDowell, I Do Not Play No Rock n' Roll 1969
8) The Rolling Stones, Let It Bleed 1969
9) (Magic) Sam Maghett, West Side Soul 1967
10) Roxy Music, Country Life 1974
11) Kenny Loggins, Kenny Loggins Alive 1980
