Re: (TV) Stones Tour

Every tour they come out and say they've been rehearsing (Keef speaks)
'songs i'd forgotten i'd written' .. then you see the set lists and it's
jack flash, sympathy for the devil, satisfaction etc. all great songs but i
wish they'd leave those alone and play some of the forgotten classics - We
Love You, 2000 Man, Back Street Girl, Doo Doo (Heartbreaker), Emotional
Rescue, Cocksucker Blues (!) and the list goes on and on...

Recently got a Stones bootleg and heard 'Aladdin's Story' ... the song that
Death in Vegas did on the 'Contino Sessions' .. i had no idea it was a
Stones outtake. It's the best thing on that DiV record!

| I saw the Stones in LA in 1989, too. Most fans think that was their
| worst tour. If you thought they were fantastic on that tour, you've GOT
| TO see them on this tour. They are ten times better now. They are doing
| Heart of Stone, Hand of Fate, many obscure classics. They rehearsed 140
| of their songs for this tour. Ron Wood is completely sober and is
| playing better than Mick Taylor ever did, especially on slide guitar. He
| even plays electric sitar in Street Fightng Man. Keith is down to mere
| vodka with orange and he's cut way down on the Marlboros. Mick's singing
| better than ever. You MUST see them.
