i reviewed it for _the weekly dig_ (boston's
alternative newsweekly) a few weeks ago, and it's
still up online at www.weeklydig.com.  cliffs notes:
because i love the record i enjoyed watching a
documentary about the making of it, especially since
the filmmaker went out of his way to make wilco look
like a band with integrity and something to say --
someone says "this isn't a _behind the music_ story
with drugs and groupies", and the few times you see
them brush with rock-style hedonism they look
confused.  the film is beautiful, though i wish there
was more making the music and less industry stuff...i
can't imagine anyone who doesn't absolutely love wilco
getting anything out of it, though.  ymmv.

i <3 wilco.  a lot.  they're sort of tim burton to
neutral milk hotel's david lynch in the sense that
their music takes a lot of ideas that nmh have and
make them more "accessible" to a wider audience, but
their tunage is gorgeous and glorious.
