(TV) OT: Need Critique Michael Brecker ASAP

Someone wants to rope me into going to see Charlie Haden 
(whose music I love, esp. sax players on g 'Haunted Heart') , but I 
have this funny feeling that his sax player for this live performance, Michael Brecker , 
is someone who I'd hate (plus Haden and Brecker have come together to create 
"American Dreams", an album containing music by Pat Metheny & Keith Jarrett, 
among others---two of my all-time least favorites). 
Any advice/help greatly appreciated.
