Re: RE: (TV) Verlaine Music for Film Shows

All I know is that these 3 dates were as opening act for Patti Smith. It is Music For Films tunes (although I have not spent much, if any, time closely listening and comparing to actual Music For Films shows). I don't recall hearing any boos or fans yelling out!

Just so I get understand this:
the 3 Bowery Ballroom shows in July 1998 consisted entirely
of just Verlaine and Rip playing their compositions/score
for films, but there were no films shown in The Bowery?

Did the Bowery Ballroom audience know ahead of time (from ads etc.,)
what they were in for? (Were there riots and shouts for "Marquee Moon"?)

I've got shows with these date listed on them. The first 3 may not
technically be Music for Films. The music is the same, but I think it was prior
to the music and films being presented together in performance.

1998-07-29 Bowery Ballroom, New York, NY (Music For Films)

1998-07-30 Bowery Ballroom, New York, NY (Music For Films)

1998-07-31 Bowery Ballroom, New York, NY (Music For Films)

2000-04-21 Castro Theatre, San Francisco (Music For Films)
