(TV) re: ebay / bootlegs

i'm subscribed to a list for jayhawks taping /
trading.  recently, copies of two fan-generated /
freely traded jayhawks recordings have ended up for
sale on ebay.  i know this also happened recently with
a tv show (and even keith's cover).

the jayhawks list administrator did something i
thought was pretty clever.  he made sure to win the
item (price went pretty high).  got the seller's name
and address (the seller even provided his phone
number).  he's giving this info to the band's
management.  obviously, he's not buying the show.

this after contacting ebay about the problem and not
getting any response.  

the same seller had already sold the show once, and
has listed it now for a third sale.

folks on the list also contacted all the bidders with
info.

anyone have any thoughts on this?
