(TV) Requesting Friction

The one song I requested for this tour was "Friction." Unfortunately I
couldn't be at Irving Plaza to hear it. I hope that isn't why he dropped
it from the set after playing it just one night. How did it sound?
Someone told me he also recited a poem about a little flower and he sang
a new song about a flower shop. He used to call me his delicate flower.
He used to say, "You're such a kid, I have to treat you with kid
gloves." That was true, I'd cry about something and then he'd go into
the studio and make a record with songs apologizing. '78, '80, '82, '84,
'87, '90, '92. Maybe if I show up again and start crying he'll put out a
new studio record. It's been so long since we've had a new studio
record, I'm crying.


And I'm not even the crying type.
