TELEVISION - Adventure (Remastered, Bonus Tracks) - $16.50
The follow-up to their groundbreaking debut, Marquee Moon, clearly shies
away from any attempt to top its predecessor. Less angular in its approach,
the cleaner production doesn't necessarily make this a bad effort, it just
takes a more acute level of attention to appreciate the subtle brilliance of
the terrific songs offered up by Tom Verlaine. This remastered edition
includes three bonus tracks - a previously unissued title track,
"Adventure", the single version of "Ain't That Nothin'", and an early
version of "Glory". "5 stars....has a yearning beauty that inspired a legion
of art-rock bands"-Blender

TELEVISION - Marquee Moon (Remastered, Bonus Tracks) - $16.50
Television not only stripped away the wax buildup that was ruining the
surface of rock 'n' roll, they inspired countless others to follow - an
influence that continues to this day. A regular act at CBGB in the mid-'70s,
this urgent, angular, poetic, sparse yet musically complex quartet, fronted
by Tom Verlaine, made some of the most compelling rock of the '70s. This
remastered reissue of their classic debut includes five bonus tracks - the
full-length version of "Little Johnny Jewel", alternate versions of "See No
Evil", "Friction" and "Marquee Moon" along with and untitled instrumental.
"5 stars"-Blender.
