(TV) NME Review

This week's NME also reviews the reissues:

Television were hailed as geniuses by NME on the 1977 release of their
debut album "Marquee Moon" (8), and this new version includes the
awesome single 'Little Johnny Jewel', whose garage-jazz craziness is
is a treat for beat diggers. The band's follow-up "Adventure" (7) is
more polished - 'Days' is truly beautiful - but a little less unique.
Julie Burchill kicked it to pieces in these very pages, effectively
ending the band's career. Nearly 30 years later, she's a middle-aged,
podgy columnist while these albums remain eternally youthful and angular
- which is as close to justice as life gets.

- Rob Fitzpatrick, Reissues Roundup column (which also covers Dylan, Felt,
and "Pet Sounds" this week).

all the best,
