Yes. Although I don't think the Beatles were putting a lot of
thought into creating "albums" until REVOLVER or so. So while I
consider the UK editions definitive, I recognize that pre-1966 a
lot of the track lists were arbitrary (e.g., "The Word" appears
on RUBBER SOUL, but was a leftover recorded during the HELP
sessions). On the other hand, many other albums butchered for US
release - like the first Pink Floyd LP - were definitely
intended as "albums" by the artist(s). But I agree with your
point.
