(TV) ot sacd

picked up two of the dylan remasters today.  tried 'em
in my philip's boombox at work.  one would not start
at all (repeatedly said "no disc").  the other finally
played once (had trouble starting), then didn't auto
repeat and wouldn't play again.

supposedly these sacd discs will play on "all regular
cd players."  this boombox plays any other cd / cdr
without problem (tried out a few after the prob with
the remasters).

is this common?  it's a concern, because i do 90% of
my music listening on this player, at work.
