(TV) steve lacy passes

very sad news, steve lacy has reportedly died this
past thursday, after falling into a coma tuesday.  he
had apparently been ill with liver cancer -- horrible
stuff.  i was able to see him only once, last year,
and he was making some beautiful music.  

it was a very beat-type thing, a middle-aged woman
read beat poetry rather expressively with the music. 
i expected my 12-year old son, who i dragged along for
the education, to be rolling his eyes.  but he was
transfixed the whole night.  i doubt he (or i) will
forget that show.
