(TV) Lif-agra!

The "dead" contribute more to my life than the living -- I almost only read
works from dead people -- I also enjoy music composed by dead people and art
from dead people. They continuously contribute to my enjoyment of life, in
fact. The living... not as much as the dead as far as art goes -- but it's
true that some living people contribute to my life, some also disappoint me
with very weak recent works -- maybe one could even say that they should
have died in their prime, but then again, it's their choice, and they'd
better making some real contribution soon or they'd be in danger of being
remembered for having died past their prime. Okay, that's a semi-joke in
reaction to what Keith wrote.

It's not a bad thing to die past one's prime -- but what are we saying here?
That Bob Quine should be kept alive through medication to make music for the
enjoyment of others when he's decided that life is no longer worth it?

There are cultures where killing oneself is seen as an act of courage -- the
courage that earns one the right to Walhalla. But apparently for some of
us, suicide is nothing but a mental disease.

Pharmaceutical companies -- listen up, time to make "Lif-agra"!
