Re: Playing with Patti in the Dark / RE: (TV) Press release from Columbia Records

Yes, it was more than two German dates, since I saw them in Stockholm
in -96. Think it was more like a tour. It was a strange gig. Patti's voice
was in really bad shape and Lenny sang a few tunes, if the memory serves me
one was a Waylon Jennings tune. She was also shouting to the photographers
who were between her and "her people", the audience. Obstinate, just like in
the old days. Didn't have big expectations this summer when she returned for
the first time, but I'm glad I went, it was really great. You could hear
that this edition of her band has been playing for a while now. They were
tight and rocking, So don't miss her Oct 2!!! (It's a shame the Swedish
papers don't care much nowadays when we have important rock legends
visiting. Only found one review, and that guy expected more punk, thought
Patti was too hippie-ish.) Didn't know about that car accident, though. Then
Tom had an excuse to sit on a chair. Sometimes i hear people who was there
teasing this "ex-rock star" for sitting in the dark and being arty and
strange.
