RE: (TV) Royston Vasey (OT)



Films made from British television comedy series usually tend to be
terrible, even if the series they were based on was very good. Witness the
recent "Hitchhikers Guide" film. Also Porridge, Steptoe etc etc.
However, both of the LOG series was so good, and the creators so original
that I'm really hoping that the film may be an exception. But my gut feeling
is that it will be awful.
I don't believe us Brits have ever made a good feature film based on a
comedy TV show, other than the Monty Python spin-offs.
Anybody care to correct me if I'm wrong?

Would someone from across the pond please post a review of The League of
Gentlemen's Apocalypse, which i believe comes out June 5 in England.

I doubt it will make it to the states other than in dvd format
