They looked like ordinary guitar-hero trousers to me but I guess he could have had them specially treated in case Richard burst into flames in the middle of one of his ferocious solos.
However, judging by the fawning PS fans who were present he might have wisely invested in a pair of bullshit-proof leg-wear.
