Sept SPIN (reissues column) has the following review
by Will Hermes:
So what about hot? When this instrumental set from
the punk-eras highest flying guitarist dropped in
1992, hardcore Television fans (well me anyway) were
underwhelmed by this slo-mo surf noir. Reissued with
eight like-minded bonus cuts by the post-rock
archivists Thrill Jockey, it charms on it's own terms.
But when jams like 'saucer crash' start smoking, it's
hard not to wish Verlaine could make those TV reunions
more than just beer money gigs.
