RE: (TV) tom in ghent

You know anything others don't know? That Keith is a left-winger? A political fanatic?

For those who might contemplate to travel to Ghent to see Smith and Verlaine, I can say that the film festival in question is, in fact, a huge event. I attended the film critics jury six years ago. It was big then, and as far as I know, it has grown even bigger ever since. One movie section concentrates on film music. To my surprise, people like Peter Greenaway, Sydney Pollack and Christopher Lee ate their breakfast among us journalists in the hotel restaurant. Lousy Swedish director David Flamholc was seen charming actress Amanda Plummer, who should have known better.

Completely OT - but anyway: who thought that my little Swedish town would get this kind of international press coverage:

although keith would probably be most keen to witness
patti smith's discussion on political activism, noted
below, the rest of you might be interested in the tom
verlaine part.
