(TV) the Arcade Fire

There was this wonderful scene from Bogdanovich's Nickelodeon when they are
making a movie and end up watching The Klansman (Birth of a Nation) and
everyone throws in the towel and says "what the hell am I doing, everything
I do is shit and it's just not worth the point"\


For the last two weeks I have been listening to the Arcade Fire's Funeral.

It's like being Sean Penn or Terrance Malick.

I'm Arcade Fire and you suck.  

I'm Sean Penn and you suck.

I'm great and you're not.



For the life of me, if I were a musician, trying to express my voice, and I
heard this album I would just quit.

Greatest thing I've heard since London Calling.

I feel so sorry for all the musicians in this newsgroup.

I write; and music is so much less subjective and more visceral.

But Funeral.

It kicks my ass.  "All up and down Broadway"  The real one.  I live one
block away.  And I'm not a musician.
