(TV) Beefsteak Charlies

I picked up t his Hartsdale 8/31/77 gig from Dime A Dozen this week.

What an amazing couple of sets!

Has this gig been in circulation for very longl? I'll quote the person who
put it up on Dime:

"the first set of this night is one i obtained in cdr trade; i don't have
any info on lineage. the second set is the first of an "out of the graveyard
series of television recordings, which i have recently received from the
taper and plan to post. some of these recordings have never circulated
before; some have circulated in unknown-gen tapes. the taper has sent me
cdrs of his transfers from master cassettes. much thanks to the taper for
his insight/foresight in taping this band, and generosity in sharing (i will
leave it to him to introduce himself).

the second set is also remarkable for its distinctive setlist. the band
played requests called out by the audience; seven of nine songs were never
officially recorded. i've left track 10 tacked at the end as i received it;
a partial "kingdom come" which begins with the drum solo, date unknown (this
"fragment" is > 10 minutes long and captures some great guitar work; the
complete song in the set runs > 17 minutes).

from what i understand this venue was a rather obscure club with no great
history. i assume it was larger than cb's, as tv had outgrown that venue by
this point.

next in this series will be two richard lloyd shows recorded in 1979 from
master cassette. i will need some setlist help on those."
