this is probably the 33 and 1/3 series -- little books
about great albums -- sort of greatly expanded liner
notes.  i just bought my first one, on neutral milk
hotel's "in an aeroplane over the sea."  i think it
was 29 in the series?  "mm" is not on the list of
previously released titles.  perhaps it is pending. 
all by different authors but packaged similarly.

another book i'm looking forward to -- "just kids,"
patti smith's first effort at memoir, about her early
days with robert mapplethorpe.  release date in the
staes is october 1.
