a new ornette coleman album was scheduled for release
today (_sound grammar_, recorded with his current
quartet). first new ornette in about, i think, 75
years...
but have been to two indie stores and not found it.
apparently it was on order at one, but did not show up
in today's releases as sent by the distributor.
anyone know anything about this? surely *someone* on
this list likes oc...
one aside on the recording -- he wanted to release a
carnegie hall performance with the group -- but
carnegie wanted some huge amount of money for the
rights to use their name. so, germany.
