Re: (TV) 12

Yes, it's the Allman Brothers song. I've got an advance review copy of the disc. Have played it twice but not sat down and given it a serious listen yet. It's... pleasant. Not too surprisingly, the Dylan, Jeff. Airplane, and Doors come off best. The Paul Simon is surprisingly effective and the Nirvana is okay too. But I'm hardly knocked out on a preliminary listen.

Midnight Rider is the title of one of the Allman Brothers earliest and best know tracks. Maybe that's it?

In my 35 or so years of album buying, I don't think that I've ever bought more than a couple of covers albums that I have enjoyed, and those have been covers of old blues songs that I was not familiar with. It's usually an indication that the song-writing well has gone dry for the time being.

Paul Simon, gotta be.

9. Soul Kitchen (doors)
10. Smells Like Teen Spirit (nirvana)

Dunno about that one.. not Midnight Rambler?

Some not-so-great choices there, I have to opine. Not sure if I'd actually
lay down cash for this, which is unheard of for Patti records 'n' me.
